The Beowulf crew took a voyage today on the appropriately period-accurate Sae Hrafn viking longship owned by Mr. Blackistone, founder of Longship Company Ltd, and father of Kevin Blackistone, actor/filmographer extraordinaire. We set sail from St. Solomon's Island in southern Maryland, and by set sail I mean rowed with giant spruce oars, traversing murkey waters of a Chesapeake inlet. We fended off scores of yachting republicans with our fierce demeanor and slicing wit. We discovered that blue fin crabs, prior to mating, shed their entire shells, leaving them as ghostly carcasses on the bottom of the river. We devoured sandwiches and pecan cookies. We only threatened pillage, but alls fair for one afternoon. Now we believe we are adequatly prepared for our month-long voyage into greater America! See you soon!
